We are managing Sony Computer Entertainment's development recruitment in the UK. Their Cambridge Studio, renowned for action adventure games, has won major acclaim for past releases.
They are looking for a Level Designer to join the team. You may be an experienced junior candidates that is on the verge of stepping up to a standard role, or already at a ‘standard’ Designer level. Senior Level Designers are welcome to apply as long as they are looking to work as part of a design team under a Lead Designer.
The candidate will be required to have the desire and dedication to create game content, bringing new ideas to the table while taking direction from the Lead Designer.
A strong understanding, backed by experience, of 3D spatial awareness, and level logic scripting will be needed.
The role will require the ability to give input to, and constructively critique, the work of other designers and artists in the work group.
Requirements:
- Games player
- Experience in level design and/or puzzle design
- Strong communication skills that can be demonstrated across disciplines within the team
- Ability to work to a design brief under schedule constraints
Desirable:
- PSP or handheld experience
- Experience of working with physics systems
- MODing experience
