Lead Programmer - New

This fun-filled games company located in the North-West of England has been around for fifteen years, although they still posses the energy and vibrancy of a brand new company. With 160+ staff working out of a custom-built development studio, they are now simultaneously developing several next-gen projects across various platforms.
Requirements:
* Excellent C/C++ skills
* Prior experience in either a senior or lead role
* Good problem solving and debugging skills
* Console programming experience on at least one published game
* Previous experience and a good understanding of mutli-threading
* Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
* The go-to-person for major issues with the game. Be able to track down and get problems fixed
* Help more junior members of staff to develop through knowledge sharing and guidance
* Be responsible for ensuring technical budgets across code and art teams.
* Work with production, art and the core technology group to deliver to deadlines
* Help set realistic targets for tasks and for ensuring they stay on track
* Look for ways in which the game making process can be streamlined
* Help get the game to the point of shipping by any means necessary
Bonus skills:
* Multi-platform development
* Good sense of humour for reviewing code
* Optimisation skills

* An honest CV, and a good demo/samples of work.
