We are managing all of Sony Computer Entertainment's games recruitment and the London office is a world class development studio. It has unrivalled development facilities and offers a creative and stimulating environment coupled with access to the best London has to offer from their Soho office.

A technical tester is required by one of the game's teams. The candidate will be required to lead and formulate periodical functional and performance testing of J2EE web applications. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of proven commercial experience in testing enterprise-level web applications using J2EE, utilising existing server based gaming platform API. The candidate must have in depth knowledge of web-tier development.

Essential Skills
- Low Level Knowledge of Tomcat
- Knowledge of J2EE architectures.
- Building of custom data sets in Oracle using SQL
- Understanding/reading of Oracle stored procedures.
- Reading and Writing of SQL.
- Experience of Full Life Cycle development.
- Application Optimisation and Resolution of load test issue.
- Advanced scripting skills in either PERL or BASH

Tools experience
- Tcpdump and Wireshark to understand client-server network architectures.
- SAR and SNMP for use in system monitoring.
- JMETER
- JProfiler.
