Lead Animator (Maya) - New

This role is with the London office of a world class development studio. It has unrivalled development facilities and offers a creative and stimulating environment coupled with access to the best London has to offer from their office.
You will be involved in all aspects of the production from the initial design of the character movement and technical considerations of implementation to collaboration with both internal and external teams to create and deliver final animation.

Job responsibilities:
Create major character key frame animations (realistic and/or stylised) for the game, including style setting examples for other animators
Review, critique & approve the work of other animators
Set the game’s animation style by reviewing reference materials and making drawings, storyboards and/or example animations
Assist the Art Manager with the overall planning & scheduling of the animation team to ensure cost effective and timely production
Work with Programming and Design to ensure animations properly fit the gameplay requirements
Work with the technical artists to establish and improve the rigs and tools used by the animation team.
Deliver content on schedule and within any technical limitations.
Overall responsibility for the day to day direction of internal/external animation team

Required Skills:
Accomplished 3D animator with experience of leading a team through at least two AAA titles as evident in an outstanding demo reel
