Animation Integrator - 7 month contract

My client is the world's leading independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software for advanced entertainment systems such as the PlayStation 2/3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox and Xbox 360 video game consoles from Microsoft, the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo Wii, as well as the personal computer and internet.

They have an opening for an Integrator working on a popular Book/Film franchise working directly with the Animation team in the role of animation integrator under the direction of the animation leads. The candidate will create and refine in-game cutscene animation sequences for a major character-action title.
The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Realising direction and assembling the cutscenes in line with the game script and gameplay
  • Working closely with animation leads and the gameplay team
  • Sequencing of story-telling elements using proprietary editors
The contract is likely to start early March 2010 for 7 months.

Rates are dependent upon experience and knowledge.
  • Experience in 3d packages e.g. Maya and timeline editing packages e.g. After effects/Premiere.
  • Proven level assembly ability in a mod package (e.g. Unreal, Hammer)
  • In depth knowledge of games across multiple platforms, with an analytical approach to what makes certain features work
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving mentality
A strong knowledge of animation and cinematography advantageous.
